Last night, Colorado’s first Latina congresswoman – Yadira Caraveo – fell behind by just a few votes. BUT there are tens of thousands of votes still outstanding in Adams County. There are also thousands of votes still being counted in Boulder and El Paso Counties that will impact our state legislature. And you CAN DO SOMETHING about it.
First: Do you want to help?
Do you live in or near Colorado’s Eighth Congressional District, Boulder, El Paso County, or Weld County? Here is a great way to continue to make a difference in this election:
Sign up here to help cure ballots this weekend in CD8.
The greatest need is for people to help knock on doors.
Second: Have you checked to make sure your vote was counted?
Here’s how:
Click here to access Ballot Trax, the Secretary of State system that tracks your ballot.
Was your ballot rejected?
You will be able to see here whether your ballot has been counted. If your ballot has been counted, you’re good to go! If you’re ballot has been “rejected” (for a missing signature, a ‘discrepant’ signature that doesn’t match, or missing an ID), you must:
- Find your Include your Voter Identification Number which you can find here on the Secretary of State website.
- Complete an affidavit.
- Take a picture of your ID.
The Secretary of State makes it easy. You can do all of this on your cell phone; return the affidavit and information – in person – to your County Clerk’s Office; OR do visit the website and do an online upload by clicking here.
To use TXT2 Cure, after you have found your Voter Identification Number:
- Text ‘COLORADO’ to 28683.
- You will receive a single text message in reply with a secure 2vote.mobi web link. Tap the link to open the TXT2Cure website.
Once you are on the website:
- Click the Cure My Ballot button.
- Enter your Voter ID number, click Submit.
- Check the box to indicate that you returned your voted ballot, click Submit
- Sign in the box using your full legal signature, click Submit
- Click the Take or Upload a Photo button. Ensure that the photo of your acceptable form of ID is clear, then select Use Photo.
- Click Submit.
