DENVER: After months of research and collaboration with a broad coalition of leading public interest groups, ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest multi-issue progressive advocacy organization, in partnership with 7 other ProgressNow network affiliates today unveiled the Colorado Progressive Voters Guide: the most comprehensive resource on Colorado candidates and ballot measures available to voters for the 2020 elections.

“The Colorado Progressive Voters Guide is the result of hundreds of hours of research and collaboration by the state’s leading advocacy and public interest organizations,” said ProgressNow Colorado executive director Ian Silverii. “The Colorado Progressive Voters Guide builds on a platform originally developed by our ProgressNow network partners at Fuse Washington, who after years of successful operation in that state have now extended their online Voters Guide technology to include eight ProgressNow network states.”

“Using the Progressive Voters Guide, it’s a snap for Colorado voters to get the facts on over 300 candidates for office at every level of government,” said Silverii “Our partners have worked together to recommend candidates from the presidential race to the U.S. Senate, Congress State House, and State Senate races; the State Board of Education, the State Board of Regents, and district attorneys; and commissioner elections for nine major Colorado counties. And of course, we provide in-depth information and recommendations on the 11 statewide ballot measures Colorado voters will decide on.”

The Colorado Progressive Voters Guide would not have been possible without the collaboration and vision of our partners, who include:

AFSCME Council 18
AFT Colorado
COLOR Action Fund
Colorado AFL-CIO
Colorado Education Association (CEA)
Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC) Action Fund
Colorado WINS
Colorado Working Families Party
Conservation Colorado
Denver Area Labor Federation
Mi Familia Vota
New Era Colorado Action Fund
NRDC Action Fund
One Colorado
SEIU Colorado
SEIU Local 105

Please note: Not all coalition partners have provided information and/or recommendations on every candidate and ballot measure. Each partner was free to endorse specific individuals and back ballot initiatives that their organization cares about most, decline to weigh in on others, and to release their own ballot guides with recommendations suited to their members. Each candidate and ballot initiative position indicates which organizations made those endorsements.

“Our goal is to provide all voters with factual information on every candidate, and to make clear recommendations on the choice in races for progressive voters,” said Silverii. “Knowledge is power, and the Progressive Voters Guide empowers voters to make an informed decision all the way down their ballot. We’re very proud to make this innovative resource available on the day ballots are mailed to Colorado voters.”
