DENVER: After a joint appearance in Greenwood Village today by Sen. Cory Gardner and Ivanka Trump, just hours after Senate Republicans failed to reach agreement on the next economic stimulus package extending unemployment benefits depended upon by hundreds of thousands of Coloradans, ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest multi-issue progressive advocacy organization, released the following statement:

“330,000 Coloradans are set to lose a huge chunk of their income this weekend because Cory Gardner and Senate Republicans failed them,” said Fawn Bolak of ProgressNow Colorado. “For Gardner to appear with Ivanka Trump in Greenwood Village, the wealthy suburb of Denver making headlines for its fight against police accountability, to celebrate child care that unemployed Coloradans can’t afford is an insult to the constituents Cory Gardner is letting down in Washington every day. In November, Colorado voters will render their verdict on the failure of the Trump Glitterati and Cory Gardner alike.”
