DENVER: After a national news site posted video of remarks by Colorado Republican U.S. Senate candidate Robert Blaha this week, in which Blaha stated he wanted to “go beyond just Muslims” in denying entry to the United States by international travelers, ProgressNow Colorado, the state’s largest online progressive advocacy organization, released the following statement:

“Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has done enough to harm our nation’s reputation in the eyes of the world, Robert Blaha doesn’t need to help him,” said ProgressNow Colorado political director Alan Franklin. “To the thousands of visitors to our state from all over the world every year, visitors Coloradans in tourism-related industries depend on for our own livelihoods, we apologize for Robert Blaha’s disgraceful comments. Blaha doesn’t speak for Colorado, and you are always welcome in our state.”
