Last night, as Patricia Arquette accepted her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, she spoke out for women across America–and Colorado–and called for wage equality and equal rights for women.

Right now, Rep. Jessie Danielson of Wheat Ridge is fighting for pay equity at the Colorado Capitol. After right-wing legislators voted to kill Colorado’s landmark Pay Equity Commission, Rep. Danielson and a determined group of co-sponsors are working to restore the commission so it can finish its work.

We know there’s a problem: the latest data shows that the pay gap for women in Colorado is even bigger than the national average.[1] Colorado’s Pay Equity Commission is working on recommendations for the state government and private industry to close the gender wage gap once and for all. That would mean more money in the pockets of hard working families who need it most.

Sign our petition telling the Colorado legislature to keep working on a solution to wage inequality in Colorado. We’ll share your names and comments with Rep. Danielson, the press, and other public officials.
